Semigroups of completely positive operators are a fundamental tool in the theory of quantum Markov processes. Several results on this class of semigroups-mostly in the uniformly continuous case-are scattered in the literature. In this chapter we give a self-contained exposition of the basic results on uniformly continuous completely positive semigroups.Published
